On Building Counselor Team Of Private College In Anhui Province

Non-governmental College, including private college, independent college and other forms of cooperatively-run school, refers to such higher education institutions run by social organizations outside state institutions or individuals using non-state financial funds. Counselors, as an important component of private colleges and universities instructor and guider for students’ healthy growth, are the mainstay for university students in the field of ideological and political education. Not only do they affect school spirit, teaching spirit and learning spirit, but they directly have a great impact on the quality of talent development and sustainable development. To this end, we must take private colleges and universities in terms of sustainable development as a starting point, in the "people-oriented" management philosophy, developing a proper understanding to-ward problems that how we should build up the ranks of counselors, acutely being aware of the necessity and urgency of counselor team construction in the new situation, constantly exploring new strategies for private college counselors, and providing solid protection for the sustainable development of Anhui private college counselors.On the basis of studying document carefully issued by the State Council and the Ministry of education, for instance, a case study of Anhui Xinhua University, there are some problems we find in theory and operation by making questionnaire with sampling methods, analyzing survey data collected, combining with his experience working in private colleges as a counselor, such as imperfect policy mechanisms, high mobility, difficulties on management, long working hours, heavy tasks, lack of professional training and promotion opportunities, unreasonable recruitment process, imperfect assessment mechanisms, counselor’s existing problems etc.On this basis, analyzing the causes of problems, and exploring "what kind of team-building, how to build it" problems is our top priority. From the government, non-governmental institutions and counselor, multidisciplinary perspective to find out the exiting problems and come up with strengthening and improving strategies of private college counselors is necessary. Ultimately, exploring development of specialization and profession is the goal and an inevitable trend of development of Anhui private college counselors.
