The image of sports colleges and universities refers to the sports colleges and universities spirit, sum of behavior characteristics and internal and external public members of the overall impression and evaluation. At present, the internal and external public Sports Colleges and universities still more exist on some stereotype and one-sided understanding. The higher sports colleges and universities to survive and develop in the competition, they must improve their image. Research shows that, the good image can create a good living environment for the development of sports colleges and universities. This paper takes the questionnaire research methods, combined with the literature method, interview method, statistical method, survey the current situation of the Hunan Normal University Sports Institute image, put forward the target, contents, steps of Hunan Normal University Sports Institute to shape the image of the expectations of the Physical Education Institute of Hunan Normal University, shaping the image of reference.Conclusion: 1 through the discovery of the internal members of the questionnaire survey, the overall evaluation of the internal members of the Hunan Normal University College of physical education, the image of the good. Investigation shows, most internal members of the college spirit, the school motto, school location of the connotation of basic don’t know(the philosophy of image evaluation); to a higher evaluation on college scientific research level, teaching image, management level, but the evaluation of the level of student learning(College of unequal evaluation behavior image); On college campus greening, teaching building of venues, library and dormitory satisfaction(Institute of visual image). Through the external public questioners resurvey found that, overall evaluation of external public image of good sport college of Hunan Normal University; investigation shows, most external public do not understand the college spirit and college motto(School of idea image); hold a positive attitude towards teaching image, management level, service level(School of behavior image); on the college campus greening, teaching building museum the site, library and student dormitory satisfaction(Institute of visual image). 2 The overall goal of Hunan Normal University sports college image shaping short, medium and long term goals. Starting from the perfect college concept image, behavior image, College School of visual image, make the college with a certain degree of visibility and reputation in Central China, the domestic and international. 3 Hunan Normal University College of physical education, shaping the image of the steps for image diagnosis, School of College image design, school image building and school image detection. The school image diagnosis in internal and external questionnaire as the basis; college image design to people-oriented, strengthening subject, long lasting principle; college image construction to the external environment and internal environment construction; school image detection is to detect the effect of plan implementation.
