| The high speed development of modern society, the badminton movement still charm, it contains very rich cultural heritage, but also a very elegant leisure sports, at the same time it also has the coordination of the whole body, fitness and strength effect. With the progress and development of our social economy, culture and sports, badminton has been like more and more people, college students are the conductors of advanced things, badminton sport with its characteristics and charm to attract more students’ attention, and won the majority of college students love. The basic organization unit badminton small group activities as ordinary college students to participate in the badminton activities, daily life and learning has frequently appeared in college students in Hunan Province, profoundly affects the college students in Hunan province to extracurricular activities, the school quality education development, as well as the school sports curriculum reform. This paper adopts literature data method, questionnaire survey method, mathematical statistics, logical reasoning method, combining the current situation of small group activities of ordinary university students in badminton in Hunan Province, analyzes its characteristics, and then puts forward the countermeasures, the main conclusions are as follows:(1)Among college students in Hunan province badminton small group members age mostly concentrated in the 20-23 years old, college and university grade two to grade three students more; badminton small group members with male college students, small groups of members of the students more balanced; small group member of the professional large span, mainly to students of science and engineering; small group members generally have a badminton training experience.(2)The Hunan Province ordinary university students in badminton badminton small group members on the level of awareness of the difference and the level of technology to master; the ways of knowledge and learning badminton technical understanding of diversity; and to participate in the badminton small group activities has become an important way of small group members spend their leisure time.(3)The Hunan Province Ordinary University Badminton small group members to participate in the badminton activity time has certain regularity; space activities has a broad, mainly school badminton courts, badminton courts, community, sports park, of which the school badminton court based.(4) College Badminton small group in Hunan province to participate in the badminton activities motivation shows diversity and consistency, mainly in the promotion of leisure entertainment and adjust the rich cultural life, enhance physical fitness, improve communication skills, improve badminton skills, Cu Jinwen of course learning and promoting mental health.(5)The Hunan Province ordinary university students in badminton small group members to participate in badminton activities with diversity.
