Research On Current Situation And Strategy Of Three Small Ball Sports In Colleges For Universities Of Hunan Province

Three small ball sports is table tennis, badminton, & tennis.These three sports which are the aggregation of fitness, education, entertainment and sports competion are very popular in University and college.They have some common identities, including playing between net, not touching with body,not dangerous,not restrictd by ages and gender, & helpful for the prevention of myopia. Compared to other sports(such as basketball and football), boys and girls both have a higher participation quantity in three small ball sports, so three small ball sports are the typical representation in University sports. Through the status of three small ball sports analysis, research of exist problem and development of countermeasures, it is not only conducive to the development of college sports,enhancing the school's overall mental outlook and enriching the cultural life of the campus, but also conducive to the formation of student life-long Physical training awareness and physical activity habits so as to promote the development of a comprehensive fitness exercise.Using the methods of documentary, questionnaire, mathematical statistics, this paper makes investigation on current situation of three small ball sports in 26 colleges or universities of Hunan Province. It is based on several aspects ,such as courts and facilities, teachers' construction, students ' dynamic, curriculum provision and so on.The findings are the followings:1,Colleges and Universities in Hunan Province have some problems in venues and facilities for thtee small ball sports, lacking of interior space and some college stadiums idling resources due to lacking of management; Colleges and Universities in Hunan Province carry out the three small ball sports in various forms, table tennis class is the most common one, the following is badminton, and tennis course is the lowest; Colleges and Universities in Hunan Province are lacking of professional three small ball teachers, and teacher team have to be strengthen; Though three small ball is popular in University and college, student still lack of basic knowledge of small ball and most student are still in a low level; three Small ball sports are also loved by students at extra-curricular activities, but it lacks of organization&management in association club . They seldom carry out small ball sports competition, the situation for professional teams building is not good, and they also haven't training in system.2,Venues and facilities are the primary factor to prevent the development of three small ball sports, the second factor is determined by the extent that leaders pay attention on it and the level of teachers, local economic development level, students basic level etc.have restricted three small ball to carry out in colleges and University.3,Suggestions: increasing funding, implementing of community and schools to share resources, rational using of facilities resources ; enhancing the leadership's attention on three small ball; strengthening good teacher's indraught, making attention to in-service teacher's training and cultivating their research ability; improving the curriculum, seting different classes & Levels at option course, increasing rate of giving courses, controlling the number of classes, etc; Strengthening the integrated construction of course, and strengthening the management of associations and clubs; emphasis on cultivating Sports habits of primary and secondary school students , and widely carrying out three small ball sports in primary and secondary school ; through the campus network, broadcasting project to strengthen the drumbeating of three small ball competitions and correlative knowledge.
