| Picture book is usually used in language teaching, people seldom contact it with painting teaching activities. Actually,picture book is a comprehensive art type which tells a story by combining pictures and words and contains literature and art.It has many characters, such as painting, picture communication,and children’s nature. Picture book helps to improve the ability of children’s feeling of beauty, arouse children’s interest in painting to make them gain optimism and positive emotion, develop children’s creativity to inspire children’s self expression in painting language, and enrich children’s painting experience to let them grasp more drawing medium.This paper is exemplified with class 3, H Kindergarten as research object,and used action research as the research method to explore the application of picture book in kindergarten ’ s painting teaching activities.There are 5chapters in this paper. In the first chapter, it is the research overview, including the causes of the selection, concept definition, domestic and international research reviews, and meanings of the research. In the second chapter, it is the design of the research plan. The backgrounds, purposes andmethods, data collection and processing, and research procedures are introduced in this part. In the third chapter,it is the research process, namely diagnosing stage-planning stage- action stage-action stage again. The practical process of the research is showed. In the fourth chapter, it is the discussion and analysis of the research results according to children’s achievements and teachers’ gains to prove the feasibility and effectiveness of the research. In the fifth chapter, the conclusion is drawn and suggestions are given.According to the analysis, here are the conclusions: teacher is the core in the application of picture book into kindergarten painting teaching activities. Kindergarten provides a reliable guaranty of picture book in the painting teaching activities.And, parents are powerful assistants. The following suggestions are offered to a better application of picture book in kindergarten painting teaching activities. Teachers should extend picture book knowledge, improve the literacy, their art accomplishment, and teaching ability, and promote their professional development and research ability. Kindergartens should build learning community, carry out picture book teaching research, provide powerful support, create good teaching conditions, promote cooperation between parents andkindergartens, and obtain strong support from parents. |
