In 2001, the Ministry of Education of China issued the new curriculum standard, which emphasizes a "learners centered" approach. It emphasizes "In the classroom, students’ predominant status should be fully reflected." In order to make response to the New Curriculum Reform, a nationwide teaching reform campaign is going on in junior schools in China. Many domestic middle schools have begun to reform the traditional teaching method.This teaching approach "learning before teaching, training test in class" is formed during this nationwide teaching reform campaign. This teaching method has been a huge success in Yangsi middle school and Yong wei middle school. This teaching approach has also been confirmed by educators, including Gu Mingyuan.The teaching approach "learning before teaching, training test in class" was practiced in Chengnan Middle School. In the process of the author of the present paper and other English teachers’ operation,the author has studied its application in classroom teaching to demonstrate the feasibility of this teaching approach in English classroom teaching in Chengnan Middle School. This study focuses on the application of the teaching approach in English classroom teaching in Chengnan Middle School and it also studies the effects of it.In order to detect the experimental feasibility of this teaching approach in Chengnan Middle School, the author chose two parallel classes that he teaches himself, and the author chose one of them to attempt to the teaching mode, another for comparison. The experiment lasted one year. The subjects of the experiment is 50 students in C1202 Chengnan Middle School LiLing. The author analyzed the data collected through tests,questionnaires and classroom observation, the results show that the implementation of this teaching approach in classroom teaching has made great achievement,especially the poor performance of students in the group. With the help of other people in the group, their learning motivation has been improved. But the author also found some deficiencies of the teaching method in the concrete teaching application, Accordingly, the author puts forward some suggestions to improve and develop this teaching approach to help with the application of it in Chengnan Middle School in the future.
