Children love to play games in outdoor. Outdoor games can promote the development of children’s sports skills, operational skills and social skills than indoor games.At the same time,children’s creativity and exploration spirit also improved in outdoor. But,as a carrier to develop outdoor game, the outdoor play environment of kindergarten have many problems,which have bad influence on outdoor games.This research mainly use on-the-spot investigation,questionnaire and interview method to investigate the 13 typical supporting kindergartens of residential area in Changsha, to understand the state of outdoor play environment and analyse its influence factors of the state,at last, to provide the basis for construct residential areas ‘ supporting kindergarten. The survey found that:1.Most of kindergartens’ location have certain adverse conditions.2.Most kindergartens are insufficient attention to outdoor space layout.Regional types of outdoor games is single. The most common outdoor areas are large fixed sports equipment area and playground.3.Each kindergarten outdoor public playgrounds‘s area for each child can meet the standard, but each kindergarten hasn’t each class of special outdoor playground.The differences of outdoor playgrounds area are big.4.All kindergartens have a variety of texture of the outdoor playground ground, but each kindergarten ground laying materials are not identical. Among them, pouring plastic ground ‘s popularity rate is highest.5.Kindergarten outdoor large toy type is unitary, and in small numbers. The most common large outdoor play equipment is a large combination of toys, followed by the slide.6.Each kindergarten’s outdoor play time can reach more than 2 hours.Kindergartens are pay more and more attention to outdoor games.Each kindergarten outdoor game types are roughly same,icludeing morning free activities, morning exercises,walking, activities before dining, fitness activities and free activities.The quantity of outdoor play equipment are insufficient.7.Most of the kindergartens will carry out outdoor activities by using residential areas’ environmental resources.The influence factors are the state of the laws and regulations, designer’s design concept and the education concept of kindergarten operators. According to the three factors, different recommendations are proposed:1.Improve and strictly implement the relevant kindergarten outdoor environmental laws and regulations.2.Based on children,scientific design supporting kindergarten.3.Elaborate create and reasonable use of kindergarten outdoor game environment.
