This study mainly discussed the intervening effect of group counseling on the academic procrastination of primary students. The main purpose of the study are as following:The first one is to design a group counseling program for primary procrastination children and make practical use in real life. The second one is to discover the effect of group counseling on students’ procrastination.This study first used academic procrastination scale,measured in three or four grade students of a primary school in shenyang as survey objects. According to its score on academic prcrastination scale choose 20 students as objects. Then this study used control(pretest-posttest) group method,make group counseling on the ten students in five weeks,once a week,fifty minutes per time. By comparing the difference between the before and after test, the study was to discuss the effect of group counseling on the procrastination of primary school.Conclusions:(1)The score of procrastination students which participated in group counseling(intervene group) has significant differences in the primary school students on procrastination scale score.(2)The score of procrastination students which didn’t participated in group counseling(contrast group) are basically the same.(3)The group counseling of academic procrastination can reduce the procra extent of primary school students’ procrastination.
