The upper grades of elementary school are the transitional grades from elementary school to junior high school.They are an important stage for students to learn habits and learn attitudes gradually.In addition,students are in a special stage before puberty,and academic delay is very unfavorable to their psychological development.The purpose of this study is to study the current situation of primary school time management and academic procrastination in Kunming.In view of the psychological development characteristics of primary school students,a group intervention program has been designed with time management as the entry point.Group counseling is carried out for senior students in primary school,and then time management is tested.The effect of group counseling on the intervention behavior of senior elementary school students in academic procrastination.In this study,the "Adolescent Time Management Scale" and "Study Delay Scale"were used to randomly select 1,500 students from the 5th and 6th grades of three elementary schools in Kunming to investigate the current situation of academic delays in senior primary school students in Kunming.And the two levels of the difference analysis,compare their differences in academic delays and time management trends,to understand the current situation of academic delays in the upper primary school students in Kunming.According to the scores on the questionnaire and the interviews with the class teacher,60 students from a school in Kunming who had poor time management skills and serious academic delay were selected as subjects.Using the single factor training group and the non-training group before and after the experimental design,30 students randomly selected for 8 weeks,once a week,45 minutes of group psychological counseling,30 students in the non-training group did not receive any counseling.Both groups were tested before and after,comparing the differences between time management and academic delay,and discussing the effectiveness of time management group psychological counseling to improve primary schoolstudents' academic delay.The results of this study show that:(1)There are significant gender differences in the time management total score,time monitoring concept and time efficacy between the boys and girls in the upper primary school in Kunming City,and the scores of girls are significantly higher than those of boys.There is also a significant difference in the scores on academic delays,and the scores of boys are significantly higher than those of girls.(2)The senior students in Kunming City only had grade differences in time value and academic delay,and both showed that the scores of the sixth grade were significantly higher than those of the fifth grade students.(3)After the group training through group counseling,the scores of time management and academic delay are significantly different from those before training;before and after group counseling,the scores of time management and academic delay are not changed much.The results of the data show that time management group counseling can reduce the academic delay of upper primary school students.(4)After three months of intervention,the training group had no statistical difference in time value sense and academic delay.The data showed that the effect of group counseling intervention was sustainable in the short term.
