Modern poetry is a kind of important literature style. It breaks the old style poetry metrical form, it uses the vernacular language to reflect the real life, express the author’s emotion. The excellent modern poetry teaching can improve students’ ability of language expression. After the curriculum reform, The modern poetry teaching has some improvement,But there are still some problems in the teachers, students and teaching. Teacher’s ability is limited and has not caused enough attention to the teaching of modern poetry. Students lack of learning interest and life experience. There is also a stylized, surface and rational phenomenon in the process of teaching. The examination oriented education affects the students’ awareness of modern poetry and the degree of attention. Inhibition the cultivation of students’ creativity and personality, hinder the appreciation ability.Therefore, this paper take the students as the standard, combined with the the new curriculum standard 、 test description 、 Aesthetic theory and poetics theory, determine the modern poetry teaching goal. According to the needs of junior students physical and mental development,put forward the teaching strategy of Chinese modern poetry. Firstly, teachers should combine the characteristics of poetry wonderful design into the classroom, and then explain the life and background of timely according to the poetry category. Teachers should also be integrated form of poetry teaching focus of different. In the process of teaching, teachers should lead students through repeated reading poetry, determine the emotional tone, through the analysis of poetry, poetic expression of emotion, but also by means of association and imagination of poetry sentiment. Of course, in the overall grasp of the theme of the poem artistic conception, teachers should lead students to grasp the words of appreciation of poetry language, and through their actual contact to obtain a unique emotional experience. The teacher should lead the students to expand teaching resources, the pursuit of combining reading and writing.This paper puts forward the teaching strategies can help to effectively carry out the teaching of modern poetry, and to provide reference for classical poetry teaching. This class helps to cultivate students’ temperament, improve the students’ ability of language expression, to meet the needs of junior high school students physical and mental development.
