This research was to explore peer-mediated intervention on social skills for preschool children with autism and its effect.This research took action research, in order to get the qualitative change in social skills about the study objects, researcher collected data by using interview and observation and reflected, through constantly revised to meet the needs of research, elastic evaluation, reflection and adjustment, the cycle of course was necessary.Research objects were an autistic child and two class peers from an ordinary kindergarten.The action plan was based on the learning needs of social skills of research objects,and developed teaching activities of peer-mediated intervention to help autistic child and peers’ interaction and improve autistic child’s social skills.The teaching activities of peer-mediated intervention included group teaching and game activities, which composed of five theme of teaching activities.During the process of action research,researcher described the teaching implementation of each activity theme,and the reflection and adjustment in action.The results as follows:1.The group teaching and gaming activities in the teaching activities of peer-mediated intervention can promote the social skills of children with autism;2.The teaching activities of peer-mediated intervention have differences in promoting autistic children’s social skills, the effect in ability of spontaneous interaction;3.The teaching activities of peer-mediated intervention can improve the trained peers’ ability to help autistic children in social interaction;4.The teaching activities of peer-mediated intervention can be affected by various factors in prompting autistic children’s social skills effectively.
