The lack of life skills among children with autism not only became the burden of parents and teachers, but also had a negative effect on their own independent living and other abilities. Therefore, the purpose of present study was to upgrade the dining activities skills of children with autism by the development and implementation of social stories associated other auxiliary instruction.Three boys with autism which from rehabilitation facility for autism were selected. The research method used a multiple baseline across participants design, and combined with observation and survey. The collection and examination of the date used Visual analysis and simplified time-series analysis of the C statistics, social validity analysis also be considered.This study is divided into three parts:the first part is literatures review, it points out that there are some features of children with autism, such as information reception difficulties, visual advantages, deficiency in executive functions. It has a positive effect on the autistic children with certain reading ability, language ability and intelligence by emerging social story with written, video, and music. Then it analyzes the effective factor of a successful social story intervention, and explores the process and methods while implementation of effective social story intervention, and more reasonable statistical methods. The second part, through a multiple baseline across participants design, the social story intervention which designed by the researcher was carried out among three autistic children with special education for their inappropriate behavior during meals. The dining activities were recorded by camera and social story intervention included reading social stories, visual supporting instruction, role-playing games. Through quantitative and qualitative analysis, the results shows that the number of inappropriate behavior during meals as well as daze, shaking chair, holding rice, inappropriate with a spoon and companion from the subjects were reduced. So as to enhance the ability of the dining activities. The third part gives out the conclusions and discussions on the base of the results of intervention, and explores effective methods of social story intervention.
