Language Education And Training For Preschool Children In Chongqing’s Urban Areas: Situation, Problems, And Solutions

In this rapidly changed society, economy and technology keep being constantly developed. Education also changes all the time and now becomes a key issue of our society and our country. Preschool education is an integral part of the education system which cannot be removed. All parents expect their kids to be outstanding and they are willing to invest in children’ education. Under the drive of this demand, language training institutions for preschool children had mushroomed into our sights. Those language training institutions show us their problems under the pressure of severe competition.In this case, this paper, through investigations of language training institutions as well as analysis and researches of how parents choosing a language training institution for preschool children, reveals main problems of language training market in urban areas in Chongqing basing on existing research results.By adopting questionnaires to collect data, and using SPSS19.0 to analyze, this paper reaches to a conclusion-- parents send their kids to language training institutions in order to compensate for the lack of those kindergarten’s language education cannot provide and develop kids’ interest in language to become versatile; the language training programs for kids are not only English related, other programs like recitation and lectures, radio host, poems and stories, reading and writing are also popular; parents expect that their kids can gain strong social skills and various knowledge; large price gaps, low quality of teachers, high mobility of teachers, and improper training forms for kids’ development are the common problems.Those problems occurred in language training for kids cannot be solved by one man. It requires the joint effort of parents, kindergarten, language training institution, and the government to build a free and comfortable environment for every kid.
