Mathematic thought is the essence of mathematic knowledge and it is one of the most important goals of mathematic education. The research, based on the contents of "simple equation", analyzes the present teaching situations of mathematic thought for primary school. It also summarizes the teaching problems of mathematic thought and searches for the causes of these problems,further puts forward the effective strategies to solve them, in order to provide references for the teaching of mathematic thought in primary school.Firstly, the researchexpounds the meaning of mathematic thought teaching for teachers and students. And it also puts Piaget’s cognitive development theory,Bruner’s cognitive structure learning theory and Ausubel’s cognitive assimilation learning theory as the theoretical basis to answer the question that mathematic thought can be taught..Secondly,the research analyzes the species of mathematic thoughts in the chapter of "simple equation" and describes the presenting situations of mathematic thought in detail. On the basis of the analysis of the textbooks,the research mainly uses the observation methodand the interview method, to analyze the present teaching situations of mathematic thought by investigating teachers’ understanding of the mathematic thought, teachers’ teaching methods for the mathematic thought and students’ learning situations about the mathematic thought. Once again,the research summarizes the teaching problems of mathematic thought for primary school students, which mainly include, teachers misunderstand mathematic thought teaching;teachers attach importance to the solving problem skills, they ignore the importance of mathematic thought teaching; they lack the overall understanding of the textbook. All those cause that the teachers cannot fully excavating the species of mathematic thought, and they cannot choose the suitable teaching methods, either.This article also analyzes the causes of the problems, which include the teachers’lack of professional knowledge, the lack of the methods for guiding the teaching of mathematic thought and the traditional evaluation problems for teachers and students.Finally,in view of all those problems, the research puts forward the some strategies for the mathematic thought teaching for primary school teachers and students. Choosing the appropriate teaching method is the protective strategy to carry out the mathematic thought teaching effectively andimproving teachers’ professional quality is the important strategy to ensure the effectiveness of mathematic thought teaching;considering the characteristics of the textbooks and students are the conditional strategy to carry on the mathematic thought teaching effectively, Moreover,the research also analyses some cases about mathematic thought teaching and discuses the teaching strategies detailedly.
