By making a comparison on the standards of mathematic curriculum between Chinese and American senior high school,the thesis has found out the general characteristics and differences between them.The author compared the advantages and disadvantages of them and put forward some suggestions for our country's mathematic curriculum reform in senior high school.This paper adopted literature,comparison and case study as the study methods.There are overall five parts in this thesis.Firstly,the introduction illustrates the background,the reason,the methods.Secondly,the thesis reviewed the process of the reforms in Chinese and American mathematic curriculum,which has revealed the changes of concepts.This is also the basis of this reform of mathematics.The author also put forward some suggestions for our country's mathematics curriculum reform.Thirdly,this part compared the concepts between Chinese and American curriculum reform and generated the similarities and differences between them.The differences between the concepts of education reflect the disparity of their standards of curriculum.The similarities belong to different categaries and have different requirements to teachers and students.The author also put forward some suggestions.Forthiy,this part compared the curriculum targets between China and USA from the aspects of target system,overall objective,and presentation of the targets.The target system of these two countries both aimed at the development of students but the differences between linguistic style are obvious and America pays more attention to the role of teachers.The author also put forward some suggestions.At last,this part compared and analyzed the contents between Chinese and American mathematic curriculum,which are "Number and Algebra","Geometry" and "Probability and Data analysis".And the first part is focused on Functions.The author also put forward some suggestions for our country's mathematics curriculum reform.
