Since the theory of lifelong education was promulgated in 1860s,every countries from all over the world began to advocate lifelong education. The ultimate goal of lifelong education is lifelong learning. Thus towards to a learning society.Lifelong learning emphasizes the whole life learning rather than divides the life into two parts:"learning period"and "work period".People should study in their every stage of life, and establish the concept of lifelong learning. With the arrival of the 21st century, a internet age, internet injects a blood of a new era into lifelong learning,it breaks the conventional way of learning and bring a new learning model. At the same time, people should ask themselves to lifelong learning and study in anytime and anywhere so that they can survive in such a competitive market economy era. This research is a case study of Hani nationality called Haoni (one of Hani) of lifelong learning.Intending to explore the issue of lifelong learning of Haoni in the internet age. This paper mainly uses three research methods:ethnography, interview and participant observation.I entered the field place as a "insider"in June 2014,and observed the status quo and changes in Hani’s non-formal education in 21st internet century. And interviewed the school principal, teachers and students who work in,teach in and study in Hani district during the research. And concluded the status quo and changes in formal education. Finally, concluded the status quo and changes in informal education from interviewing several typical Hani people. This essay researches the status quo of the Hani’s lifelong learning in 21st century from three dimensions:formal education,non-formal education and informal education. And finding the problems through researching to give some suggestion to build Hani’s lifelong learning system through combining the characteristic of the era.Through interview and observation, the research has following three findings.First of all,it finds the formal education of Hani is in a tension of two powers mainstream education and local education in the internet age. And between the two powers the mainstream education is in dominant situation. At the same time, multimedia are silently into the mainstream education in Hani district. But it will take long time to make the multimedia teaching to come true because of limitations.Secondly,Hani’s non-formal education greatly influences by the net.The main influence is on the language and culture of Hani. With the internet integration,Hani language, customs and culture are disappearing. Thus facing a great challenge to the cultural heritage protection.Thirdly,to the Hani’s informal education,Internet mainly affects the family education and personal profession development. And in these two areas, the internet showed a double-edged sword of characteristics of internet. For the personal profession development, internet brought many benefits. But at the same time, internet brought adverse effects in Hani family education especially in youth groups.
