Over the years, the friendship, as one of the most basic and best feelings of human society had been praised and glorified by scholars in different fields. In China there are many proverbs are used to praise friendship. Recent years, workplace friendships, has gradually become a hot discussion and research focus. As one of the important informal structure in the workplace, workplace friendship plays an important role in promoting the health development of the employees’ individual and organization. So studying the mechanism of the formation and influence of the workplace friendships, has the vital significance for the management practice. Based on the impression management theory and social exchange theory, an empirical research on the relationship between the political skill and workplace friendships has been carriedIn this paper, using the database resources, after reading, combing a large number of Chinese and foreign literature, we try to deeply understand the connotation of the variables and understand the present situation research in order to master the latest developments in the related field. With the basis of literature analysis, we try to determine the follow-up research framework and the research train of thought. Secondly, by use of the classical theory of sociology (such as social exchange theory, impression management theory),we study variables by deduction in order to explore possible relationship between variables and put forward relevant assumptions. We develop the initial questionnaire based on the small sample data analysis, with the aid of SPSS analysis software, by using the methods of reliability analysis, factor analysis After analyzing the results, we modify the right item and formed the formal questionnaire. Then, for an official investigation, by use of the collected data, we test the demographic variables’influence on political skills, workplace friendships, leading members of the exchange relationship, organizational justice. Finally using the regression analysis, we confirm that the political skills’influence on the workplace friendships, the role of LMX and organizational justice respectively. After multiple regression analysis, the empirical results show that the employees’ political skill has a significant positive effect on workplace friendships, leader-member exchange plays partial intermediary effect. But the moderating role of the organizational justice has not been verified.Finally, this paper explained and discussed the research conclusion. The author also introduced the theoretical and practical significance. At the same time,the author also analysis the deficiency of the research and the future research prospects of this paper.
