In recent years, the Chinese government has emphasized from social management to the transformation of social governance, voluntary services, civil society, more and more such as formulation. In education, the requirement from "to teaching as the center" to "learning centered" calls for more and more is also high. Society needs a more responsible citizens, schools need to improve the quality of education, social common demands of education and the "service learning"(service- learning) is becoming more and more attention. The concept of service learning was introduced into China has more than ten years, but is still much said, to do less. The approach of Chinese college students to participate in service learning? What are those? What are the difficulties college students service learning in practice? How can I ensure that college students how to participate in service learning? Service learning activities carried out in practice will meet what difficulty? In this study for foreign service learning theory and practice on the basis of finishing, by tracking a college student practice whole process service learning program, try to answer the above questions. The first part of this study through to the social background and the analysis of the higher education development the new situation, put forward the practice and the system guarantee of the service learning of college students is the requirement of the development of higher education and social. And further defined on the basis of literature review focuses on the study of the practice of Chinese college students service learning possible paths.The second part is the foreign service of learning theory and practice. Mountain, can offend jade, through the overseas advanced experience, can help us better understand the connotation of service learning, practice path and system security, to better understand the current problems of college students’ service learning in our country and the possible breakthrough.The third part is for a college student service learning project follow-up investigation, from two aspects of structural and initiative of the whole process of the project is described and analyzed. In terms of structural, describes the formation and operation of this project structure; In terms of motility, mainly from two aspects of project management and the student responses.Through the concrete practice of the service learning project process, can be seen as the social demand of the college students’ service learning and personal motivation is very strong, in the aspect of resources supply is relatively ample space, but related institutional guarantee is very weak. Institutional resources shortage has become the biggest problems which restrict the development of the Chinese college students service learning.Finally, on the basis of investigation and research, this study considered social resource integration and curriculum organization, institutionalized service learning the future direction of the development of the practice of the Chinese college students.
