By using case study and the classroom observation, this thesis is aimed to understand the influence of English teacher’s teaching behavior on students’ Interest in a suburban county primary school.Based on the teaching theory and educational psychology, the author teased the current research on teaching behavior and learning interest, which lays the foundation for this thesis. Meanwhile, in order to reach this thesis’ s purpose, having a clear understanding of the basic concepts is necessary. With the help of the theories, the author made a empirical study on the case and the third grader students from her class four. From the record of classroom observations and interview, the author found that some of the teacher’s behaviors relate to students’ behavior and knew the current English interest situation of class four. Furthermore, the author makes a conclusion that some teaching behaviors have influence on students’ learning interest. Finally, considering the actual situation, the author makes some suggestion about how to improve teacher’s behavior of suburban county areas effectively and efficiently including the teachers’ self-development, abilities and teaching skills.As we all know, it is a long way to cultivate interest. So in this thesis, the author hopes that the teachers, especially those in suburban county school, pay more attention to the significance of motivating and cultivating students’ learning interest. More importantly, hoping the advice of this thesis can be useful to the teaching.
