With the comprehensive progress of the new round of curriculum reform, as a new teaching method,more and more people are payed attention to the case teaching method. The new geography curriculum standard explicitly pointed out that we must learn the useful geography for daily life and for promoting the lifelong development.The new geography curriculum standard advocate inquiry learning method,and the Case teaching method is just a kind of inquiry teaching method.To be Specific,the case teaching is a method that the teacher according to the teaching objectives and teaching content,introduce some typical cases in the classroom, create a real scene, and set some questions,guide the students to analyze and discuss on my own, in order to make students master the knowledge system and improve the students’ability of analyzing and solving problems.Because of the case teaching method in our country is at the stage of development, the research is still not deep enough and is not valued.lt has not yet become the main teaching method of the basic education teaching. Then, the author unifies own specialty and teaching practice, the choice of "under the background of new curriculum reform of the case teaching method in high school geography teaching applied research" as the research subject, expect for the theory construction of the case teaching method and practice guidance to make a useful contribution.This paper mainly elaborated from several aspects as follows:The first part is the introduction, about the background and significance of the research,and the researching trends at home and abroad, the researching approach of this paper and the researching method has carried on the detailed elaboration;The second part summarizes the meaning and theoretical basis of the case teaching method, focus on the distinction of the case teaching and example teaching and the joint between the case teaching and the geography new curriculum standards.This part is the theoretical study of the case method of teaching.It is below on the basis of researching on the application of the case teaching method in geography teaching in senior high school.The third part describes the implementation process of the geography case teaching,including selected the geography case, displayed case, asked questions, discussed and analyzed the cases, summarized and evaluated the cases, and then cited one section of Xiangjiao version geography textbook to illustrate. The fourth part is the experimental study of the geography case teaching. Using the method of questionnaire survey and the experimental research method, it demonstrates the effect of the case teaching and the existing problems from the micro perspective.The fifth part, because every teaching methods has both the advantages and the shortcomings, so this part from four aspects of macro perspective, using SWOT analysis method, the advantages and disadvantages of the case teaching, opportunities and threats are analyzed and put forward 9 corresponding measures.The sixth part simply summarize the main conclusions、the innovation of this thesis and the shortcomings, and put forward the future research direction.
