With the rapid development of the scale of graduate education and graduate enrollment expansion, Graduate Students Ideological and political education has attracted more and more attention and the Ministry of education in Colleges and universities. On the one hand, the postgraduates are the high-level talents in China’s education training system, will be duty bound to assume responsibility for the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the history of building a well-off society, the quality of the relationship to the development of the country and to enhance the comprehensive national strength. On the other hand, the ideological and political education as the soul of the quality education of postgraduates plays an irreplaceable role in cultivating graduate students in. In fact, most of the students have not formed a stable world outlook, outlook on life and values, has “ability of self management, self education, self identification”, at the same time with the new changes, the new development of the situation at home and abroad, especially the Sui domestic new social classes and development, Graduate groups increasingly it showed a diversified characteristics. Therefore, to fully understand the current situation, to strengthen the ideological and political education of graduate students, improve the overall quality of graduate students has become a new topic of Ideological and political education in universities.The main purpose of this paper is to study the validity of Ideological and political education of graduate students in China, explore and improve the effective path of graduate ideological and political education research status analysis of College Students’ Ideological and political education and the existing problems.Specifically, this paper includes the following four parts:The first part is an introduction. The part of the background and significance of the thesis, the current research status at home and abroad, research ideas and methods, research content and framework of this background knowledge. The second part is the basic theory of the effectiveness of Ideological and political education. This part defines the meaning, characteristics of the ideological and political education of graduate students, graduate students and the effectiveness of Ideological and political education scientific basis. The third part is the analysis of the present situation of the current ideological and political education. The fourth part is the ways and counter measures to improve the ideological and political education. This paper thinks that we should follow the principle of combining external part, internal system part, long-term ways of Ideological and political education of graduate students, and give full play to the leading function from education, attaches great importance to the graduate student own subject consciousness, promote the reform and development of education medium, puts forward the countermeasures optimizing cultivation environment of Ideological and political education esearch students.
