Followed by speeding up the process of China’s aging society, objective reality more than age and body mass index decline year by year, the social from all walks of life in the concerned about the health of the elderly. Because the elderly’s physique has particularity, not every sport is suitable for sports in the elderly, therefore, to explore and research, to improve the health of the elderly sports training methods, improve physical fitness in the elderly, to solve our problem of aging to become a serious problem.Crawl exercise is one of the recent rise of systemic fitness activities, practice is suitable for the elderly, is a kind of break the normal human body movement patterns, so it has a unique effect to the body. Crawling with long-term use of this research training means to climb the middle-aged and old people as the subjects, to climb the mountain on foot only exercise the middle-aged and old people as control group, using the experimental method, combined with body mass index testing and comparative analysis, the following conclusions:1. Crawl exercise on in old people waist, hip circumference and skinfold impact is obvious, makes the elderly body shape has certain change.2. Crawl exercise can reduce the elderly quiet heart rate, improve blood pressure status in the elderly, increasing the level of elderly lung capacity, improve heart and lung function in the elderly.3. Crawl exercise can improve the elderly’s upper body strength, lower limb physical qualities such as flexibility and balance ability, improve the elderly health and sports ability.4. Long crawl exercise helps maintain and improve bone density in the elderly, the elderly to delay the occurrence of osteoporosis and prevention of fractures have a positive role in promoting.
