Objective According to the people between 60-69 years to study if there’s site specific on the elderly’ s bone mineral density,and sex hormones will be the reason of the change after Yijin Jing.Material and Methods The elderly in 60-69-year-o ld were selec ted by que stionnaire survey,including:(1)no motor and cognitive disorders;(2)no irregular exercise habits;(3)no genetic relationship and history of intermarriage;(4)no fracture history and any bone diseases;(5)without taking drugs with bone metabolism(estrogen,cortisol,thyroxine,calcium et al)and health care products(e.g soy isoflavone);(6)without suffering chronic diseas es related to bone metabolism(diabetes,thyroid and parathyroid disease,adrenal disease,kidney disease et al);(7)without oophorectomy and orchietomy.Forty-six people were confirmed as the objects after body morphology and bone mineral density(BMD) detected and analyzed, 22 men and 24 women included.People were randomly divided into control group and experimental group,each group has 11 men and 12 women.The objects in experimental group would accept Damo Yijin Jing about three mouths,5 times/week,1hour/time,after two weeks’ Yijin Jing study under the teaching of Weibing Yan,the third generation successor of Damo Yijin Jing.,while the control had no any regular exercise except the normal physical activity.The height and weight measurement ins t rume n ts,46 43 a in TK K Co mp an y, J ap an,to det ec ti ve the bod y morphology;DEX,Prodigy Advance in General Electric Company,American,to measure the BMD; chemiluminescence method to detective the level of E2,T,FSH,LH.SPSS17.0 to analyze the data:independent t-test to analyze the the data between two groups;paired t-test to analyze the pre-and-pro data;Pearson Simple Correlation to analyze the relationship between BMD and E2,T,FSH,LH.P<0.05 means significant difference;P<0.01 means high significant difference.Results(1)After Yijin Jing training,the female’s pelvis BMD in control group decreased significantly and had statistical significance(P<0.05);the trunk and total body BMD of women in experimental group increased significantly(P < 0.05),and the BMD variation of trunk,pelvis and total body were higher than the control group with statistical significance(P<0.05).The male’s BMD on different sites had no significant change(P>0.05),while the BMD variation in experimental group were higher than the control group.(2)After Yijin Jing training,the level of E2 and T in women decreased,the level of FSH and LH increased,all of this had no statistical significance(P < 0.05) in control group;the level of E2 in women increased significantly with statistical significance(P < 0.05),the level of FSH decreased significantly with statistical significance(P<0.05) in experimental group.The level of E2 and T in man had a increasing trend without statistical significance(P >0.05).(3)there’s a significant positive correlation between E2 and women’s BMD,r=0.529,significant positive correlation between T and the elderly’s BMD,while there’s a negative correlation between FSH and women’s BMD,r=-0.576.Conclusion Our study demonstrated that(1)Yijin Jing is benefit to delay the decline of the elderly’s BMD,maintain the BMD.It shows that there’s difference between male and female and a site specific on the elderly’s BMD after Yijin Jing training.(2)Yijin Jing can have a positive impact by improving the level of E2 and T related to the bone metabolism.It can also decrease the the level of FSH and LH to promote the development of female’s BMD with E2.
