| With the development of China’s economy and international influence, the rapid growth around the world demand for Chinese learning is increasing. In this long and narrow pocket size land but high-tech innovation nation of Israel, of which country is also gradually catching the hot wave of learning Chinese.I had the chance to participate the program in January 2013, was assigned to the Confucius institute at Tel Aviv University, which is Hanban’s first Confucius institute in Israel. Due to various reasons, the first Confucius Institute did not give its full play. Until September 20,2012 Tel Aviv University Confucius Institute and its partner school Renmin University restarted the program and sent Dean Li Zhenshi, who led the Confucius Institute a big step forward. During this time, my tasks were helping East Asia Study students’ oral-class in Tel Aviv University and focusing on Chinese teaching of Secondary school in Tel Aviv and its satellite city.This paper has five parts:First part is the introduction. It is about the reasons and meanings of choosing this thesis, and the current relevant study.Second part is to introduce the research methods.Third part introduces the basic information about Chinese teaching in Israel.Fourth part is the main body part. I take the key Secondary school Blich Secondary school in Ramat Gan as an example. And the data shows the research progresses and results, the setting of Chinese course, the current learning situation of Chinese learners and the Chinese teacher resources, the use of Chinese textbook, and points out the current problems of Chinese teaching in Israel.Fifth part of this paper provides some effective solutions based on the problems in Chinese Class. This paper aims at providing first-hand empirical data, hoping to help other relevant personnel who are interested in Israel Chinese Teaching; meanwhile hopefully it could have positive significance for the research of Chinese teaching in Secondary schools of Israel. |
