Many sports change phenomena of the real world can show the dependencies between variables. Mathematically, we use the function model to describe the dependencies and get to know them by studying the nature of the function. The function is an important content of high school mathematics. The basic knowledge of the function has wide application in real life, society, economy and other subjects. Function and algebraic expression and equations, inequalities are closely linked. We need to use new tool-calculus to continuously deepen the nature of the function and application. It is the history of mathematics and a landmark great creation after the Euclidean geometry in the history of mathematics, which has been hailed as a milestone. Derivative, definite integral is the core concept of differential and integral calculus, and they have a very rich practical background and a wide range of applications. Chinese elementary mathematics teaching is in line with international standards with the deepening of new curriculum reform. In this way, many contents of higher mathematics such as, probability statistics, space vector, derivative and its application were incorporated into the high school mathematics teaching. The derivative which is located in the intersection of multiple knowledge has an important and special position in the high school mathematics new curriculum. And it provides strong help for the investigation of the monotonicity of function, extreme value, the value and the inequality proof, equation and series summation. At the same time, derivative is a communication bridge of elementary mathematics and advanced mathematic, It is the concluding problems in the university entrance exam every year. It plays for the national key an important role in screening talents for universities and colleges. Therefore, through the teaching and learning research of the high school mathematics "derivative and its application", On the one hand, we can do a further research to the teaching material and improve the ability to control the course. On the other hand, we can not only improve our personal qualities, but also expand our teaching reasonably. Thus we can make our students solve practical problems and experience the practical value of mathematics with the help of the mathematical tool-derivative. I hope I can provide reference and help for other colleagues in the actual education teaching, and it can have the effect of topic.So how to better deal with the contents of derivative and its application. It is a meaningful reality problem which is worth studying by every math teacher in the middle school. The article is based on the ordinary high school new curriculum standard experiment textbook math elective 2-2 (A) as an example, and it is on the basis of the teaching requirements of ordinary high school mathematics new curriculum standard. The author explored the content of teaching materials, teaching methods, research method and other issues combining with her practical teaching experience.Finally, the author carried on the thorough summary and reflection and prospected.
