Textbook illustrations is an important teaching resource, is an indispensable part of Chinese language teaching, Especially for the junior middle school students.It can better help junior high school students develop thinking,stimulate students’ interest in learning. But in the actual Chinese language teaching in junior middle school, textbook illustrations has not received the attention of teachers and students, the more did not play a very good role in Teaching.This paper uses the survey research and literature study, in-depth analysis of the illustrations of Jiangsu Education Press in Chinese textbook of Junior High School. First of all, analyze the importance of the illustrations in the textbooks from two aspects of features of age and the junior middle school student psychological development features. Secondly, explore the characteristics of junior high school language textbook illustrations, including graphic system, variety forms and functional diversity. Thirdly, count and analyze the basic situation of the illustrations of Jiangsu Education Press in Chinese textbook of Junior High School, including the number of illustrations, content, presentation mode, the use of current situation. Lastly, in the theory related to textbook illustrations inspired by the thinking of expanding into, realize the illustration itself is creative, cultural characteristics of Chinese illustrations, and put forward constructive ideas respectively from the illustration editor, evaluation feedback, teachers’ teaching and students’ learning.Through careful study and reflection the illustrations of Jiangsu Education Press in Chinese textbook of Junior High School, writing this paper in order to cause people to pay more attention, especially high school language teacher, provide some valuable reference about using and improving our junior high school language textbook illustrations, while perfect research system of the illustrations in Chinese textbook of Junior High School.
