Education is always a hot social issues, with a wide degree of concern.As the initial stage of basic education,early childhood education is essential for the development of education overall strength.Managing the early childhood education well has become the new demands of the field of basic education in our country at the present stage.A high standard of preschool teachers is the key to improving the quality of early childhood education. Reggio Emilia,the city that has made remarkable achievements in the field of early childhood education,is located in northern Italy. Its distinctive Preschool Teacher’s Multi-dimensional Role Theory provides a reporting perspective for the research area of preschool teachers’ role.Reggio’s Preschool Teacher’s Multi-dimensional Role Theory originated from Loris Malaguzzi,the founder of Reggio’s early childhood education.After decades of development,Reggio’s preschool education workers broke the single theoretical framework,guided by the advanced education concept, combined with the local historical and cultural traditions, and adopted Dewey, Piaget and Vygotsky’s educational concepts,gradually formed a unique theory, which guides the work of the preschool teachers.Based on the role theory and the teacher’s role theory, this study analyzes the historical and cultural background and the theoretical background of Reggio’s preschool teacher’s multi-dimensional role theory of the basis,sumed up the main points of the Reggio Preschool Teacher’s Multi-dimensional Role Theory:1.Respect children’s learning subjectivity and internal driving force;2.The leading role of education theory can effectively strengthen the preschool teachers about their role cognition;3.Emotional care and encouragement is the necessary condition to promote children’s growth;4.Listening and recording are the most important elements for early childhood teachers’ role behavior;5.The consistency of parents’ expectation and teachers’ education concept can form education resultant force.Based on Reggio’s Preschool Teacher’s Multi-dimensional Role Theory,Reggio’s preschool teachers play colorful roles in different dimensions,create a creative learning environmen for young children,and have achieved remarkable achievement in the aspect of theory and practice.The unclear role cognition,the low level role emotion,the nonstandard role behavior and the overlooked role expectations from parents are ubiquitous application problems of the theory at the present stage in our country.In this paper, the author brings enlightenments in the early childhood teachers’ role study field:1.Play the leading role of the theory to strengthen the preschool teachers’ role cognition;2.Improve the preschool teachers’ professional identity to promote the preschool teachers’ role emotion;3.Use the experience of successful education to amend the preschool teachers’ rolebehavior;4.Strengthen exchanges and cooperation, pay more attention to the parents’ role expectation for preschool teachers.
