In the period of Ming and Qing Dynasty, family and state were in the same structure,family education assume the basic and direct role in moral education, family etiquette education as a maintenance order and internal constraints force, to provide a suitable basis for moral and social. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Jiangnan region was rich and has comprehensive family system. With the increasing strengthening of civil propriety, etiquette culture spread by the gentry class to the common people, a large number of family ritual appeared. The traditional etiquette education was aimed at training people study etiquette,which in the Ming and Qing gentry class gradual disappear process, undertake to establishment of a moral system for a wide range of social needs. Today, social etiquette is lacked, summed up the experience for strengthening today’s etiquette education plays an important role.Just as based on the above consider, the paper based on the Ming and Qing Dynasties "home and country isomorphic" political background, with the historical trend of ordinary people can learn the etiquette, select the etiquette education content in Jiangnan family as the object of study, and discuss the characteristics and methods. Hoping to provide some reference to promote the etiquette education.This paper is divided into five chapters and epilogue. Chapter one introductory part introduces the research background and review of the subject, research design and innovation.Chapter two discourses the historical background of the traditional etiquette education in the Jiangnan, analyzes the relationships in the traditional etiquette education between the culture and Clan. From the family of ethical order, propriety-learning, cultural heritage and other aspects to analyze the reasons for the prevalence of family etiquette education.Chapter three focused on the content of family traditional etiquette in Jiangnan area. Chapter four explores the Jiangnan region in the form of family tradition etiquette education, methods, and functions.Chapter five discusses the historical role it played in the evolution of the update, and proposes a number of thinking.
