In recent years, since the enrollment quota of higher education in China is increasing year by year plus the employment regulations are reforming constantly and the effects of the global economic slowdown, Chinese common college graduates are facing a severe employment situation. However, while the common college graduates are having difficulties in getting employed, the vocational college graduates give a comparatively steady rate of employment.A steady employment rate just shows the fact that graduates are able to get jobs but does not mean graduates can meet the needs of their jobs completely, nor can it indicate a graduate will stay long at a certain job. Therefore, the research on the employment of college graduates should think more of the adaptability and stability. This research, based on the relative theories of Human Resources Management, Psychology, Educational Administration, etc., using methods of questionnaire, interview, and comparative analysis, takes the vocational college graduates in Guangxi as the study group and conducts a survey on their occupational adaptability. The result shows the vocational college graduates in Guangxi have an average level of occupational adaptability but differences exist among graduates in consideration of different student origins, majors and whether they have social practice experiences. In the meantime, based on the research on the occupational adaptability of vocational college graduates in Guangxi, this research also discusses the factors which can affect the level of occupational adaptability of vocational college graduates in Guangxi and puts forward strategies and suggestions to improve the adaptability level of vocational college graduates.
