An Research On The Social Service Ability Of Local Colleges In Beibu Gulf Region

Teaching, scientific research, social services and culture lead are the important functions of colleges and universities. As a special type of higher vocational education. Social service is the most important and the core of its function, is also the most direct reflect and embody its core competitiveness. The connotation of the social service function in higher vocational colleges have broad sense and narrow sense.the narrow social service refers to the various forms for direct social development direct social activities. Because the higher vocational education has vocational, educational and regional characteristics. Therefore, bases in and services in the area is the important value orientation.As china and ASEAN "one axis and two wings" and the implementation of the pan-BeiBu Gulf regional economic cooperation strategy, adapt to and meet the needs of the BeiBu Gulf region economy with high speed, improve the social service ability construction in higher vocational colleges is the BeiBu Gulf region has very important practical significance. In the BeiHai vocation college, for example, this paper attempt to discuss this problem.The paper is concluding four chapters. The first chapter is the introduction part, sums up the paper’s research purpose, significance of research status in this respect at home and abroad, research ideas and methods. The second chapter is to analysis the social service function and social service ability of the local university and colleges, including the development of local social service function of colleges and universities, the basic connotation and requirements, regional characteristics, and the significance of improving the service ability of local higher vocational colleges. chapter three is to survey of the current situation of social service in BeiHai vocational college, put forward the problems existing in this college. chapter four is to explore the main problems which exists to the BeiHai vocational college social service implementation, put forward a number of counter-measures for promoting the social service of local college and universities in our country, based on the research of the last two chapters on the social service in BeiHai vocational college.
