From the Standard (Experiment Draft) promulgated in 2001 to the Standard (2001 Edition), the part of geometry has always been the key point, and from the "Space and Graph" to "Graph and Geometry", geometry has always been one of the four major fields during the stage of compulsory education. As teaching materials, the textbooks published by the People’s Education Press (PEP) are used by most people and known as the typical representatives. How to follow the changes of the curriculum standard and to better present the field of "Graph and Geometry" of teaching materials is a problem to be explored. This dissertation, from the perspective of curriculum standard, tries to analyze the presentation and layout of "Graph and Geometry" in the PEP textbooks longitudinally and offer some proposals for later standards and compilation of textbooks, hoping to have a certain enlightenment in the teaching process. This dissertation selects the objective and content requirements about "Graph and Geometry" from the Standard (Experiment Draft) and the Standard (2001 Edition) to compare and analyze laterally and based on that, it analyzes the PEP compulsory education textbooks, the layout and compilation of each period, the presentation and knowledge structure in order to find the advantages and disadvantages of the PEP textbooks in the field of "Graph and Geometry".Through research, we have the following results:1. From the aspect of layout, the PEP textbook is by and large composed according to the requirements of curriculum standard, with each volume covering the knowledge of "Graph and Geometry", and meet the objective requirements of curriculum standard on the whole.2. From the aspect of compilation, though the knowledge arrangement of the PEP textbooks is not very compact, it is in line with the requirements of curriculum standard-spiral rise and meanwhile, it reflects the basic principle of curriculum standard-people oriented.3. From the aspect of presentation, the PEP textbooks’knowledge presentation corresponds to students’thinking characteristics, which is the advantage of PEP textbooks. However, there are also some defects; for example, the knowledge span is too large so that it is easy to separate the wholeness of mathematics knowledge. From the above analysis, we can see that the PEP textbooks’compilation on the field of "Graph and Geometry" mainly conforms to the basic principle of curriculum standards. Nevertheless, there are also some shortcomings, around which, the writer makes some further suggestions on teaching materials, curriculum standards and teachers respectively.
