The field of"Graph and Geometry "has made more changes in the2011version of theprimary school mathematics curriculum standards. And basic education curriculum reform is acentral link in the implementation of quality education. From this point of view, the reform oftextbook must be carrying on. And the important issue is it need to consider whether thedesign of "Graph and Geometry "content in the textbook is reasonable. All of the problemsindicate that it is very necessary to do the deep research on the" Graph and Geometry".The study uses the content analysis and the comparative method, carry on thequantitative evaluation and the qualitative analysis on the content of "Graph and Geometry "of the two versions textbooks, from the geometric cognitive level and textbook present bymeans of Van Hiele theory and FLESCH readability formula.Through the research, weobtain the following conclusions:First, the geometric cognitive level of PEP in third grade, fifth grade and sixth grade areset too high. The geometric cognitive level of BNUP in fifth grade and sixth grade is set toohigh.Second, the PEP and BNUP’s textbooks distribution of the cognitive level is blend.Third, the type of illustrations of the two editions of textbooks and languagerepresentation in line with students age characteristics.Last but not least, PEP’s columns needs to be increasing the "inductive" and "ask aquestion", and BNUP’s columns needs to increase the "Citation".Basing on the results of the study, some suggestions are proposed for later textbookcompiling and mathematics teaching.
