Since the problems of rural left-behind children have been put forward, it gained extensive attention of society. The scholars have carried out many studies and achieved some results. It is well-known that the childhood is the key stage of learning knowledge, shaping personality and development. The knowledge gained and the cultivation of moral behavior during this period can influence their life. In recent years, however, the behavior problems and the consequences of left-behind children are very serious. It has been a serious threat to their growth and development, the happiness of the family and social harmony. At the same time, Chinese society is in the transition stage of development, the accelerating speed of industrialization and urbanization and the trend of a large number of rural labor forces to cities will continue some time in the future. Based on the above background, we need to give much deeper research and take effective measures to solve the behavior deviation problems of left-behind children, so as to promote their development and the development of social work.This research takes the behavior deviation group of "hand in hand. Change" in SY school of W city for example and discusses the group work how to effectively solve the behavior deviation problems of rural left-behind children, improves the feasibility of group work. Research mainly adopts the literature method, interview method, questionnaire investigation and observation method. The paper includes five parts. The first part is introduction, mainly about the research background, significance, thinking and methods, etc., and reviews the related research literature. The second part analyzes the manifestations and causes of behavior deviation on the basis of the interview to the left-behind children. The third part introduces about group work in the process of rural left-behind children’s behavior problems. The fourth part involves in the assessment of process and result, summarizes the advantages of group work. Finally, it mainly about reflection and conclusion. The author analysis the problems of group work intervention, mainly for the lack of group activities scheme, group work time is shorter, and the lack of communication with teachers and parents, group leading skills shortage and make recommendations. At last, the author summarizes the effect and the limitations of group work, in order to improve the feasibility of group work in rural left-behind children behavior problems. So as to promote the healthy growth of left-behind children and the development of social work.
