Technical teaching should lay emphasis on improving teaching methods and teaching instruments. Different sports have diverse and even unique teaching methods. In badminton teaching and training, the ways we always adopt are the traditional fixed point teaching and the multi-point ball combination teaching, in which some phenomena appeared, for instance, actions are not coherent, actions learning and tactics application are disconnected, teaching and training produce little effect, study progress is slow, and learning initiative is poor and so on. Both of the teaching methods are not conducive for students to learn badminton, and can’t meet the close relationship that badminton has established for technical learning and competition. This not only makes us explore and use new teaching methods actively to improve teaching qualities and instruments, but also makes us combine the learning of basic badminton technology with tactics and competitions. By analyzing the current situation of badminton teaching and the competitive characteristics of badminton, this research focus on solving the problem of low efficiency of traditional badminton technology teaching. Meanwhile, it advances the combination teaching method according to the concept of technology chain, which has a positive impact on badminton training.This study based on the theory of technology chain, and designed badminton combination teaching method. According to the different characteristics of technical actions, they are defined as the "forward chain", "back chain", "attack chain". With the methods of literature and expert interview to make design and research previously for contents, methods and effects of the combination teaching method in badminton technology teaching, we also use experimental ways to test experimental group and control group during the early physical fitness testing and technical proficiency testing so that we can ensure two groups have the similar basics before the trial. After the experimental teaching, we get the outcome through basic action standard test and batting quality test. Although the two groups are under the same assessment circumstances, technology chain combination teaching method was adopted by the experimental group whose outcomes are superior to the control group’s in standard degrees of technique actions and batting quality. The successful implementation of the experiment proves that the badminton technology chain combination teaching method is superior to traditional teaching methods, and the former is also more appropriate for the technology needs of badminton.
