Interpersonal adaptation laid the foundations for socialization of teenagers. Good interperso-nal adaptation play an important role in young people’s physical and mental health. Interpers-onal adaptation makes individuals establish and maintain warm and loving relationships wit-h others, give to each other in good faith and the degree of support, it include prosocial tende-ncies and social alienation. Through interpersonal adaptation research, emotional Intelligence and parenting style is an important factor affecting junior high school students’ interpersona-1 adaptation.This study focused on the characteritics of middle school students’ emotionnal intelli-gence, parenting style and interpersonal adaptation, analysize the influence and direct role of both emotional intelligence and parenting style for interpersonal adaptation, and emoti-onal intelligence’s mediating affect between parenting style and interpersonal adaptation, s-o to provide a theoretical basis for improving interpersonal adaptation.In this study, Adolescent interpersonal adaptation scale, questionnaire of parenting sty-le and Adolescents’ emotional intelligence were used as a research tool,450 students of four middle schools in ShanDong were selected as the objects of the study, analysize t-he survey data with SPSS software.The results show the following:(1) Junior high school students are in the medium-high level of emotional intelligence, it sho-w a significant gender difference in their use of emotions, junior high school girls we-re significantly higher than junior high schoolboys, but no significant difference in ot-her. in their cognition, use, understanding of emotions and overall emotional intelligen-ce, Grade seven and grade eight students scored significantly higher than the grade six.(2) the students surveyed show a significant gender and grade difference in their interpersonal ad-aptation. In prosocial tendencies, junior high school girls were significantly higher than boy-s, grade seven and grade eight students scored significantly higher than grade six students.(3) The students surveyed show a significant gender difference in all styles except positi-ve teaching style of emotional warmth, junior high school boys were significantly hig-her than junior high school girls. In parents’warmth, mother’excessive interference, fat her punished severely, there were significant urban and rural differences. In father puni shed severely, parents’excessive interference and refused to deny, there were significan-t grade differences.(4) There are significant correlations between the students’ emotional intelligence, interper sonal adaptation and parenting style.(5) Their overall emotional intelligence and mother’s warmth helps significantly and positi-vely predict their prosocial tendency, management of emotions significantly and nega-tively predict their interpersonal alienation. Father punished severely helps significantl-y and positively predict interpersonal alienation.(6) the overall emotional intelligence plays partial intermediary role between parenting sty-le and interpersonal adaptation.
