Word problems of Junior middle school mathematics involved in all aspects of social life, through the teaching of mathematics word problems it can cultivate students consciousness of combining theory and practice, and help students to maximize the optimization of their mathematical thinking quality, guide students to use mathematical thinking for future study and life, which has laid a good foundation for the students in the future study and life, comprehensive, effective and reasonable extraction of mathematical knowledge to solve practical problems of various kinds of reference, therefore it has important significance to do a good job in mathematics word problems teaching to improve students’ grades, and to implement the new curriculum idea. Junior middle school mathematics word problems teaching. However, there are a lot of problems, especially the weak conditions of rural schools, According to personal teaching practice, the following work has been done:① The connotation, features of mathematics word problems, and analysis of the value of education;② The differences and contacts between the junior high school algebra word problems and elementary school mathematics word problems;③ Example analysis of various types of junior high school algebra application;④ Thinking obstacles exist in the process of doing mathematics word problems of junior middle school students and the solution;⑤ Teaching deficiencies exist in the process of teaching mathematics word problems in the present junior high school and the corresponding strategies;⑥ The future of junior high school mathematics teachers’ work.In the research of mathematics education result, all kinds of research to the teaching of mathematics word problems have spread to all levels, but most is the summary or induction of the methods and skills. I combined with the deficiency of the teaching mathematics word problems of current junior high school students in our school, in the perspective of the basic ideas of new curriculum, according to the curriculum, through the research and reflection on the teaching practice, further summarizes the strategies of junior high school mathematics word problems teaching:① Scene lead in, connecting mathematics with the life and practice;② The experiment teaching, supervise and urge the students’ autonomous learning;③ Diversification of evaluation method, encourage the diversification of solutions and strategies;④ The flexible of learning methods, encourage students to solve mathematical problems neatly;⑤ Through the application of multimedia in mathematics teaching, one can solve the key points and difficulties in teaching junior high school mathematics word problems.
