| With the implementation and deepening of the new chemistry curriculum reform and the change of the textbook as the center of the course, teachers also need to change the traditional teaching behavior. The Anchored Model Instruction emphasizes the creation of real teaching scenes, namely “anchorâ€. Students’ knowledge and ability can be cultivated in the process of solving the problem “anchorâ€. This paper focus on how to apply the Anchored Instruction to the teaching practice of the module Organic Chemistry Foundation so that a suitable effective method can be found to improve the teaching efficiency of this module, to cultivate students’ ability of solving complicated problems and make sure that students can learn the module Basic Organic Chemistry effectively.Through investigating and analyzing the characteristics of the module Basic Organic Chemistry and through the analysis of the present teaching situation of Basic Organic Chemistry, we have made experimental research on the module Basic Organic Chemistry in Mizhi Middle School by adopting the method Anchored Instruction. These experimental research can help change student’s attitude towards learning Organic Chemistry, improve the students’ interest in studying Basic Organic Chemistry, develop the students’ problem-exploring and problem-solving abilities, promote their knowledge shift ability and develop good study habits, which may help improve students’ learning efficiency and benefit the teachers’ professional development as well.Four parallel classes from senior two in Mizhi Middle School are divided into the experimental groups and contrast groups as the research object, we attempt to make experimental research through the specific teaching cases. Meanwhile, based on 3 means or standards, assessment has be made about the effect that the Anchored Instruction serves on teaching the module of Basic Organic Chemistry and conclusions have been made as follows: first, students are beginning to show their interest and form a good habit of learning the module Basic Organic Chemistry; secondly, students have gradually changed their learning habit from just memorizing boring knowledge to applying the knowledge to real practice flexibly and therefore made greater progress; thirdly, the Anchored module teaching can also help teachers accomplish the teaching task more easily within the given time, improve the teaching ability, and achieve good teaching results. |
