Nowadays, the concept in the New Curriculum Standard has been carried out.Accordingly, there will be an important innovation in Math teaching modes. However, theChinese College Entrance Examination and most teachers’ pure pursuit of the enrollment ratehave led to the innovation in Math teaching being just a slogan. As a result, Maths has alwaysbeen taught in the traditional and backward way. According to the New Curriculum Standard,the traditional way of teaching Math, which is inflexible and backward, should be turned intoa way of being people-oriented, in order to make the students “active” instead of “passive”. Inthis way, a more open and harmonious class will be created, during which students can learnabout Maths by communicating and sharing, making the students become really activelearners in the classroom.“Guided Learning Plan” is a new way of teaching Math, aimed at fostering students’self-study ability through students’ active study and improving teaching efficiency.“GuidedLearning Plan” is a teaching mode in which the teacher and the students cooperate tocomplete the teaching goals. It is mainly reflected in the students’ active learning, with theteacher’s guidance using the Teaching Plan. This way of teaching focuses on the teacher’sguidance and the students’ active learning, rather than the traditional way in which the teacherspends most time teaching and the students have to passively receive. During the process ofthis way of teaching Math, the relationship between the teacher and the students is open,communicative, and equal. The teacher should show respect for the students’ needs, try tomotivate the students’ curiosity about the unknown, guide the students to actively study, andencourage the students to enquire so as to help the students initiatively form their ownknowledge system. Therefore, it is high time that “Guided Learning Plan” should beadvocated and carried out for the sake of the students’ full development.This research, based on enough literature reviews and previous researches, made a fulland systematic study of the High School Math teaching mode---“Guided Learning Plan”,using such research methods as questionnaires and case analysis. The research consists of sixparts. The first part is to raise questions. In this part, the research background and researchsignificance are stated. This research can help the teacher learn about the students’ learning process, help the students’ form a netlike knowledge system, and then help them experience“cognitive learning”, thus making them raise their awareness of cooperation. The second partis about the relative research results of the topic at home and abroad. The third part is adescription of the new teaching mode---“Guided Learning Plan” in the aspects such as theconcept, the basis, and the principle of “Guided Learning Plan”, and even how to make up aguided learning plan. The fourth part is a survey and analysis of the new teaching mode,mainly through student questionnaires and teacher interviews. Through the interviews andexperiment, the researcher has drawn a conclusion that this teaching mode, paying attentionto the process of forming new knowledge, has improved the classroom teaching mode andprovided more chances for the students to display themselves, thus making a more efficientclassroom teaching. All the students have a chance to fully develop themselves, for example,the quick ones can learn quickly and the slow ones learn gradually. This teaching modemakes an operable teaching mode and teaching tool, so it is widely accepted by both theteacher and the students. The fifth part is about how to make up good teaching plans andsome classical teaching cases. In the sixth part the researcher drew some conclusion and gotsome precious reflections.The highlight of the research is: a careful study was made of “Guided Learning Plan”,and the composition and use of “Guided Learning Plan” became more standard. Therefore,the new teaching mode became more operable and more pragmatic.
