This has a decisive significance in folk festival research.This thesis mainly takes field survey and literature analysis method. Based on Enshi mountain area, the thesis on origin, connotation and changes process of "Nver Hui" shows that, as a wedding ceremony, "Nver Hui" is a product of specific geography, history, and culture background. It undertakes series of functions, including bonding family by "lunar middle festival", extending female social relations, practicing free dating and marriage. With the changing times, its survival soil is constantly changing, which makes "Nver Hui" shift the space from the country to the city, and shift the organizing subject from civil to government. At the same time, its form and content is also becoming diverse, abundant. The patterns also changed from trade patterns to trade and culture and marriage patterns.
