Teacher learning is a hot issue in the field of teacher education in recent years.Teachers’ learning state determines the development of the teachers themselves and the school, and it is the core in the process of the teachers’ professional proposition.How to lead teachers to learn effectively becomes the key problem of the construction of the new era of principal’s leadership.With X school as a case, using interviews, observation, material analysis and other research methods, this study analyses some issues about principals lead teachers to learn effectively. Firstly this study investigates the performance of the former principal’s leadership of teacher learning weaken in the case: the principal’s quality is not high; the desire to develop the school is not strong; the principal lacks of leading method on leading teachers to learn. Secondly, analyzes the root of the principal’s leadership of teacher learning weaken, and find it is because of the absence of the headmaster’s professional development, the lower support from government and teachers’ lack of learning needs and motivation. Thirdly, this paper puts forward the paths and the effective ways of principals lead teachers toward learning, embodied in creating good teacher learning culture environment; guaranteeing teacher learning material culture; establishing the system of teachers learning; with activities to promote teachers’ learning. Fourthly, combing self-construction path of principal’s leadership of teacher learning, encourage principals to do the learning principal, guide the teachers’ professional development; do the charismatic principal, lead teachers’ thought and behavior; do the wise principal, develop teachers’ learning potential; do the harmonious principal, create good teacher learning community. Finally, I summarize the positive change happened on X school after principal’s leadership of teacher learning changes.This study only chooses a typical case to study principal’s leadership of teacher learning, although it has opened up a new research vision, many problems remains to be further detailed researched.
