The Study On Resource Dependence Perspective Of The Relationship Between Zhejiang Vocational Colleges And The External Environment

Since the late90s of the last century, Zhejiang higher vocational education developed rapidly, the external environment of higher vocational colleges also experienced a series of important change, higher vocational education is a subsystem in the social system, its development is not self-sufficient, and it need access to resources from the environment to achieve its own development, so it depends on external environment. These resources include:resources such as manpower, capital, sites, equipment, and the main providers of these resources are government and enterprises. Therefore, it need higher vocational colleges to identify their dependence on external resources in its development process, and deal with the relationship with external environment, then reduce the dependence on external resources, access to its stable development. This article selects rapid development in higher vocational colleges of Ningbo Polytechnic as a case, based on the resource dependence perspective, analyzes the resource dependence relationship between higher vocational colleges and government, as well as that between higher vocational colleges and business, and this article studied coping strategies that higher vocational colleges make, mainly include adaptive strategies and change strategies, such as:actively open up a variety of channels, constantly adjust their goal, actively promote and cooperation between higher vocational colleges and government, as well as that between higher vocational colleges and business, etc. To some extent, these strategies make it a success. Due to the higher vocational colleges face a similar external environment in Zhejiang province, so these strategies can offer reference for higher vocational colleges in Zhejiang province. However, it is not enough to use these strategies. In dealing with relationship with the government and enterprises, higher vocational colleges should pay attention to their own independence, the improvement of the quality of running a school and the establishment of relevant mechanisms.
