This study focuses on the interaction between the government and the private social work institutions,from the perspective of resource dependence theory,through qualitative research in X City,through field investigation,participation in observation,interviews.Literature research and other ways to collect data,using the theory of resource dependence to analyze the interaction between the government and private social work organizations,trying to understand the "top-down" development model led by our government.The interaction between the government and private social work organizations is intended to promote the better development of social work organizations.The study found that there is a mutual dependence of resources between the government and private social work organizations.Social work organizations depend on government financial resources,material resources,information resources and legitimacy resources.The government depends on the professional resources,service mode and political achievement image of the private social work organization.The dependence between the two is asymmetric,the degree of dependence on the government is higher and the degree of dependence of the government on the private social work organization is low,under this kind of asymmetric dependence,The interaction between the government and the social work organizations has formed an unequal interaction,that is,the dominant-compromise interaction,which leads to the transborder of government power.The government's domination and intervention in the private social work institutions have had a negative impact on the institutions and hindered their healthy development and healthy operation.
