Gratitude is a positive thinking and attitude of humility, it is a kind of loving action, a kindof philosophy and the wisdom of life. Junior middle school students, as the builders andsuccessors of socialism, we must learn to be grateful and learning to help others. However, weshould also pay attention to that, there still many problems in the gratitude education of juniormiddle school students. Self-centered, family indifference, as parents pay for behoove and soon, these are all middle school students lack of the consciousness of gratitude, gratitudeeducation is lack of performance. Causes of lack of gratitude education among middle schoolstudents are in many aspects.This paper aims at bringing the gratitude education into classroom teaching, family andsocial education. Taking the some junior high school in the development zones in Yantai as anexample, by expounding the concept, significance and method of gratitude education,practical ways of systematic investigation and exploration of gratitude education are carriedout, and the countermeasures and suggestions for gratitude education are put forward, toimprove the practice of education. Moreover, it can help achieve the construction of gratitudeteam, creating gratitude atmosphere, establishment of the responsibility, and teaching themethods of behavior, working, living and learning. In addition, using the investigation andextensive collection of information, the present student’s gratitude and gratitude education aresummarized, also, the results and suggestions are given, which can help improve therelationship between teachers and students and improve school teaching and managementefficiency. Finally, the harmonious development of family and society will be promoted.First of all, the research background and significance of the thesis are introduced, and thedefinition of research status of gratitude education at home and abroad and the relatedconcepts, research ideas and methods are presented. Secondly, the education theory and themeaning of gratitude are analyzed. Then, through the design and development of a survey onthe situation of gratitude education of junior high school students, we know the situation ofcognition and idea of the gratitude education for the student. The influence factor on thegratitude consciousness of junior high school students is also analyzed. Combining with theown experience and work experience, countermeasures for promoting the gratitudeconsciousness of junior high school students are given from view of family, school andsociety on gratitude education. Finally, the paper is the summarized and the future work isprospected.
