Self-control In Crime Prevention Of Community Youth

Juvenile delinquency is a global issue, which affecting the course ofdevelopment of the entire human civilization. Human beings have not found a wayto solve juvenile delinquency so far. In the perspective of the entire process of crimeprevention of juvenile, external social control seems to have been difficult to prop upthe entire crime prevention mechanisms of juvenile, it needs to introduce youngsters’inner self-control. Therefore, how to achieve teenagers’ self-control of communityyouth in crime prevention work is an important content in future research, whichmust be studied in the field of juvenile delinquency. As a new era of innovation inthe field of crime prevention, the exploration work of community youth about crimeprevention is representative, it can inject new vitality to the entire crime preventionof juvenile. This paper is a preliminary exploration under the guidance of this idea, Iwant to do some pioneering work in this area in order to achieve valuable role.The first chapter introduces the concepts of community youth, which definesthe concept of youth and community youth, citing the latest academic and practicaldefinition of community youth sector, and on the basis of the recent relevant researchand data content, I analysis the stage population characteristics and individualcharacteristics of community youth.The second chapter introduces the concepts of self-control. I start discussing theconcept of self-control from home and abroad to explore the meaning of self-control,self-control structures, and to analysis the characteristics of self-control and self-control factors.The third chapter introduces two foreign theories about self-control, includingthe theory on resource model of self-control, which proposed by Baumeister et aland a general theory of crime which proposed by Hirsch et al. I analyzed these twotheories to find inspiration for stage community youth crime prevention work.The fourth chapter introduces the necessity and feasibility of self-control in theprevention of juvenile delinquency. I analyzed the integrity and balance of the entirecrime prevention mechanisms of juvenile to discuss the necessity of self-control inthe prevention of juvenile delinquency. Then I analyzed the physiological andpsychological development of youth and the external environment youth stayingnow to discuss the feasibility of self-controlThe fifth chapter describes how to achieve self-control among communityyouth in the prevention of juvenile delinquency. Firstly, I analyzed the basicelements of how community youth to achieve effective self-control. Secondly, Ianalyzed the methods and processes of how community youth to achieve effectiveself-control. At last, on the basis of the three angles，which are individual, family,community, I discuss how to explore effective self-control specific strategies in thecommunity to achieve the prevention of juvenile delinquency.
