In the process of implementing high school geography new curriculum standard, advocates start from the student’s overall development and life-long learning. Student-oriented is the prominent core of the new curriculum reform,In order to implement this concept and optimize the effectiveness of geography class teaching in high school, The teacher-led mode must be changed to a student-led model to promote students’ self-learning.In the traditional teaching,"teachers’ talking-students’ listening" is consistent processes and principles, Teachers focus on geography scores,but neglecte the increase of the students’ personal qualities and ability.Teaching mode under the new curriculum reform teaching idea will completely change these situations.Teachers are leading the implementation of class activities, but also the basis and key link of the reform of teaching modes. Therefore, this paper attempts from the perspective of teachers, to explore a way teachers guide students’ self learning, namely " teachers’ guide " self-learning mode. The mode changes the traditional roles between teachers and students in class, the teacher’s role is not only to teach students knowledge, but that teach students skills, self-learning skills, to enable students to become the subject of class learning.This paper combines literature review、questionnaires and experimental comparison to resolve the meaning and characteristics of self-study. This paper proposes that self-study is based on the school’s large platform. Under teachers’ reasonably Guide and help, has its own clear learning objectives, a complete learning plans, independent of learning strategies, to strict self control of learning process and approach. On the basis of analysising the behavior of teachers’ teaching、students’ learning and expectations in high school geography classroom, we launch theory and practice of the teachers guide learning in self-learning mode. Summarizes some important implications on teaching of several important self-learning mode,and reflected in the mode we created. Put forward the goals、principles and characteristics of the "teachers’guide" self-learning mode, summed up the teaching process as "guide fun"、"guide learn"、"guide discuss"、"guide practice"、"guide memories" five processes. Preliminary verified the teaching mode’s performance and operability on stimulating students’ interest in learning, improve the students’ self-learning ability and geography grades.The paper tries to do some exploration about educational theory and practice in the development of self-learning mode. The "teachers’guide" self-learning mode still in exploratory stage, still has some shortcomings need to improve,I hope this research can provide some useful reference and inspiration in high school geography teaching practice.
