Teaching difficulties is an important problem in high school history teaching.Research and dealing with teaching difficulties properly plays an important role inpromoting the effectiveness of classroom teaching. Teaching difficulties, resultedfrom various content backgrounds and conditions, manifest themselves at differentlevels and types. Aiming at solving different types of teaching difficulties, there aresome effective teaching strategies. To break through difficulties in connectinginterrelated knowledge, teachers can explore linking points between new learning andprevious knowledge, through adding historical facts to evoke students’ knowledgereserve. To break through difficulties in understanding knowledge, teachers can set upcognitive conflict to focus on theoretical blind spot. To break through difficulties incomprehension process, teachers can make use of situational experience teachingmethod from multidimensional perspectives and pay attention to meta-cognitiveexperience. To break through difficulties in emotional experience, teachers canexplore the real cause of difficulties, construct historical circumstance and designconflict of values.
