The author studies the theories ofmathematics problem-solving and mathematics learning psychology of middle school by collecting the literature on learning situation of low-level students in math and problem-solving ability. On the basis of clarifying preliminary the status quo of studies, the author believes that the relationship between mathematical problem solving and learning mathematics is a dialectical unity. On the one hand, mathematical problem solving process is to examine the extent of mathematics learning; on the other hand, learning math well is the necessary premise and foundation to solve mathematics problem. Mathematical problem solving can help deepen the understanding of the basic knowledge, can help grasp the knowledge system, firmly help to gradually form and perfect reasonable mathematical cognitive structure, help improve math thinking skills and help develop good the moral character and personality, and so on.On the one hand, getting general understanding the status quo of high school students solving problem through the questionnaire, on the other hand problem-solving ability of the status quo understand clearly combining with assessment exam, questionnaire and assessment exam reflect the current of poor ability students in high school mathematics problem solving. According to the results of the questionnaire,the author believes that there are two reasons caused the poor ability of mathematical problem solving of poor math-studied students in high school: one factor is from the students themselves; the other is from the teacher’s teaching, The students themselves are the vital factors, which is characterized by basic knowledge of mathematics and basic skills mastered solid enough; improper mathematics learning; bad habits of mathematical problem solving; limitations of mathematical thinking skills and so on.Subsequently, the author interviews the school teachers about the status quo of high school students’ problem-solving ability, to take the effective strategies to deal with low-level students problem-solving problems. Firstly, there are measures for the common characteristics of the poor math –studied students in the high school; secondly, there are measures for the individual difference of poor math –studied students.Finally, the author launches the preliminary experiment strategy of "improve the poor ability of solving mathematics in high school". Research results are as follows: first of all, there are several aspects to strengthen poor students problem-solving skills,such as the method of mathematics learning and math problem-solving habits;secondly, in the teaching process of solving the problems, through different presentation ways can achieve many levels of teaching, improve poor students learning attitude and enthusiasm, make them face problem-solving directly, eliminate psychological resistance, which is a beginning to improve their ability to solve problems.
