Solving triangles is one of the important contents of high school mathematics.The process of solving triangles involves not only the application of sine theorem and cosine theorem,but also many old knowledge as well as many kinds of mathematical ideas.This makes it more difficult for students to learn and apply.Solving triangle is also one of the necessary points of the college entrance examination and more comprehensive questions are used for investigation,which requires higher comprehensive level of students,but in this part the score rate of the students is not high.It shows that senior high school students have some difficulties in learning to solve triangles.Therefore,this study aims to summarize the main difficulties of students learning to solve triangles through the investigation and analysis and the analyze the causes,so as to put forward some solution strategies and provide reference for students' learning and teachers' teaching.Firstly,the study analyzes the literature about "solving triangles" and "learning difficulties",and determines the perspective.Secondly,enter the first-line classroom,observe the behavior of students,and record the teaching methods of teachers;363 students from the grade 2 of Baoji A Middle School were tested with self-made test papers,and the students' responses were accounted and analyzed,meanwhile interviews were made with individual students who made the wrong answers.Finally,6 mathematics teachers in senior 2 were also interviewed,and the results were arranged in the same way.Through the investigation,it is found that there are four main types of difficulties in the process of learning to solve triangles: 1.The learning of sine theorem;2.The learning of cosine theorem;3.Calculating geometry in triangles;4.The practical application of solving triangles in examples.The difficulties of sine theorem are mainly manifested in the understanding and application of the theorem,and the difficulties of cosine theorem are mainly expressed in the proof,understanding and application.The difficulties of geometric calculation in triangles are mainly manifested in the selection and geometric calculation of sine theorem and cosine theorem,and the difficulties of solving triangles in practicalapplication are mainly manifested in mathematical modeling and some problems on the understanding of the professional terms of the angle.After determining the specific difficulties of learning triangles in senior high school students,the author analyzes the reasons for students' difficulties in combination with the requirements of teaching materials,curriculum standards and examinations.In the end,the author proposes the corresponding solution strategies,hoping to provide help for teaching and learning of solving triangles in senior middle school.
