Research On The Causes Of Learning Difficulties In Junior High School Mechanics And Its Solving Strategies

Physics is very important for junior high school students.Learning physics can not only solve problems they meet in their lives,but also cultivate students' experimental inquiry spirit and scientific,rigorous thinking and attitude.In particular,the mechanics and electrical parts are the basis for students to learn high school physics.From my educational career,I found that a large number of students in the second semester of eighth grade showed a significant decline in their grades.Especially after learning the two chapters of pressure and buoyancy,many students felt that they were difficult to understand them and do exercises.After researching the students'learning status,it turned out that most ofthem have common problems.One is the difficulty in understanding the basic concepts of mechanics,the other is the mistakes in the analysis of mechanical problems.In order to solve these problems,firstly,based on Benjamin Bloom's "Classification of Educational Objectives" and "Mastery Learning" methods,1 adopted configuration evaluation to grasp the students'difficulties in the study of mechanical concepts,and found the reason through interview survey.Then based on theoretical knowledge of pedagogy and psychology,I designed methods to break through these difficulties and presented to students by a corrective review class,which was intended to help them break through the difficulties of learning mechanical concepts,enhance their comprehension of them and master the correct analytical methods of mechanical problems.In addition,this research also aims at the effect of the corrective review class.I analyzed the experimental data on computer.Then,I summarized the effectiveness and inadequacies of the breakthrough methods.To sum up,I hope that my research can help students to break through the physics learning difficulties in junior high school,and also contribute to the improvement of physics teaching.
