Nowadays, our country is making efforts to strengthen the vocational education, as to improve students’ comprehensive ability. The secondary vocational school acts as an important base for training primary talents, shoulders the responsibility of training qualified personnel. However, the training in some subjects are still unsatisfactory, English in particular. One important reason is that the students in secondary schools are varied in learning ability and different in starting point. Those who have good scores can conduct daily life communication, they can write some simple articles, too; while those who are of poor proficiecy get almost zero in tests, and they even have trouble in reading26letters. After the implementation of the examination-waived policy for the entrance to secondary vocational schools, the majority of students are uninterested in English learning. As a result their English foundation is rather weak. If we just ignore these facts and adopt the same teaching methods, setting the same training goals for all students, which may become a restricting crux to improve students’ English proficeny and hard to get a satisfactory result. Considering the secondary school students’ feacutres:they differ to high school students who are under the pressure of entering a higher school; also differ to the university students who need English credits to graduate, secondary school student’s learning urgency and learning initiative are poor. In this case, aiming at improving the teaching effects, the author try to take delaminating English teaching method to make a difference. To prove the teaching method’s effect, the author carried out an experiment in one class of grade2012at some vocational school. The whole class was divided into A, B, C three layers:poor layer (C layer), middle layer (B layer) and superior layer (A layer) according to the students’ test scores, learning ability and learning objectives. And then adopted the Delaminating English Teaching method. By the comparison of students’ test scores in the middle-term test and final test between the experimental class and the control class, the data showed that:the Delaminating English Teaching method contributed to improve students’ English academic achievement, this teaching method helped students form a better learning behaviour in English class as well.
